Rescuing new best friends since 2018
Roxana
Roxana fell in love with Lebanon on her first trip there in 2012, and continued visiting the country several times a year since then. But it wasn’t until 2017, that Roxana became involved in dog rescue, after she came across a Facebook post about Cookie, our namesake - an abused and abandoned bichon/poodle mix in Lebanon that desperately needed a home.
Roxana had been awakened to the horrors that dogs in Lebanon faced and began fundraising for and rescuing tens of abused and abandoned dogs from Lebanon to the U.K. and Canada.
When Roxana is not devoting her time to all things dog rescue, she works full time as a corporate and commercial lawyer in London.
Emily
Having previously rescued her dog from Cyprus in 2017, Emily became formally involved in dog rescue in 2018.
Despite being a self-proclaimed crazy dog lady since a young age, things really kicked into swing during Emily’s first trip to Lebanon. During this trip, Emily witnessed extreme mistreatment of dogs which spanned everything from having their eyes gauged out to having hot tar poured over them. There was no way of going back, and Emily decided she wanted to formally dedicate her time to rescuing dogs from that point onwards.
Aside from dog rescue, Emily also owns Mongrel London, an eco-friendly dog toy brand that exists to support rescue dogs from all over the world.
